⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed at Cedar Valley Resort in Whalen, Minnesota, and absolutely loved it! We shared Cabin Loon with three other couples, and it was perfect—spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were super comfy. We also loved hopping on the nearby bike trails right from the resort. The owners were fabulous—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. Highly recommend!

Cedar Valley Resort is a great place to stay. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It's beautifully maintained, very roomy and large cabins (we stayed in Moose Lodge) and well maintained and CLEAN!!' The grounds are beautiful and its easy access to the root river trail. We would stay here again and can't wait until next time.

The Cedar Valley Resort is better than top notch! Four couples reserved the Loon- a 6 bedroom cabin. We planned to e-bike, spend time in the small quaint towns and hang out at the cabin. We were all so impressed with the professionalism and kindness of the owners! They were so accommodating and willing to go above and beyond to make our stay a good one! The cabin was sooo clean and neat! It was perfect for 4 couples! Each had a bedroom and a full bathroom. Each bedroom has a sink, too. The grounds are so well maintained! You can tell the cabins were built with a lot of thought about the customers' needs. So many things for families to do! The view out our living room window was beautiful! The resort is right on the Bike Trail! Even the store/office is well-done! We loved hearing about the history of the resort. The land was the current owners' grandfathers land... who worked for the railroad (now the bike trail). The parents built the resort and now the son and daughter have taken it over. There is great pride in this resort and it shows! I could go on and on.... but simply put.... you will not be disappointed when staying at Cedar Valley Resort. We are making this a yearly stay! Cedar Valley Resort is a wonderful place to stay. The location is beautiful and the resort is well maintained. We had a group of six and stayed in the Willows. This was our second trip to Cedar Valley Resort and the Willows. It did not disappoint . We were a few miles from Lanesboro but getting there to shop and eat was easy and quick. Great choice for your family or group!!

I’ve stayed there about 20 times between annual retreats with my men’s club and MEA weekends with family and friends. It’s always fantastic, from the accommodations and the attentiveness of the staff to the beautiful surroundings. Some of my happiest memories have been made at and around Cedar Valley Resort.

A wonderful, beautifully kept up resort located on the Root River bicycling trail. About 5 miles by trail from Lanesboro. Fully furnished modern cabins with large flat-screen TVs plus appliances and cooking and eating supplies. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms in each cabin. Guests supply their own towels. Each cabin has living room style sofas and chairs plus a large indoor picnic table. Outdoor games equipment available. One fire pit per cabin, plus swings, picnic tables, and charcoal grills. Bike, canoe, tube, and kayak rentals. Gift shop. Lots of mature trees and continuously stocked bird feeders. Conference center. Giant outdoor chess set. Deer regularly stroll through the grounds. Bus and trailer available to transport bikers to other locations so they can bike back to the resort.

My husband ,my friend and I were so pleased with our stay. The cabin was very spacious and seemed to be designed for a traveler, with lots of hooks and shelves for your things. Kitchen was very well equipped. We loved the porch and bird watching.

This was a great place for a get away. There are many activities available on site - pickleball, chess, game equipment available on site at no cost. It is also on the Root River Trail. It is a paved Trail, great for biking! They have bike, kayak, and tubing rentals. It was great to spend 4 days at Cedar Valley Resort!

What a great getaway. Second year staying at Cedar Valley with our biking friends. 36 ppl in several cabins were able to gather for dinners at Big Timber. Cabins are immaculately clean, kitchens are fully stocked. Biking riding during the day, group dinners and laughs around the campfire.

We saw the resort while ebiking the Root River Trail. The entire resort has a fun and carefree atmosphere ... the guests and staff were friendly and engaging. We received such great information from the gentlemen at the gift shop office and shuttle driver that we stopped back by on our way back from Lanesboro to our campground in Rushford to get an ice cream cone and salt water taffy from the convenience store. We set our keys when paying... didn't realize until we rode bikes to Rushford, it was too late to ride back before closing time so, Lucas, who remembered us from the store drove the keys to us at our campground and didn't want a thing for his above and beyond, off the clock service to us. This is the kind of people running this resort. I would book any family, corporate, or recreational stay with them! Job well done Lucas, you have earned a loyal fan base through your kindness and generosity.

Cedar Valley Resort is an excellent place to stay for infant to 80 some. Our family reunion enjoyed all the games, bikes, miles and miles of trails, kayaks, tubes, and fantastic porches that served for meals rain or shine. The cabins were spacious and charming. Loved the themed decore for each cabin. We felt so blessed to hang out with our families-- each family could pick out the size cabin that fit their needs. This was our second time gathering here for our bi-annual get together. Thank you Ceder Valley Resort for providing some of the best facilities our reunion has ever experienced!!!!!
